Yes, we come from an oral tradition. However, our African-American heritage is blessed with some of the most prolific writers of all time: Zora N. Hurston, Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, Gwendolyn Brooks, James W. Johnson, Alice Childress, Eric J. Dickey. All of this writing started with one written word. Let us support our children as they show us they are willing to continue this art, one word at a time.

Come see the wonderful art our students produced in their classes, for homework, and in their spare time. Our children have so many talents, yet we must nurture them if we expect them to grow. Let's encourage them to continue drawing, sketching, painting, creating, and imagining.
13th Corinthians Competition

For ages God's word has been an inspiration to poets, musicians, and artists. However, nothing compares to His holy word, uncut, no chaser. Come witness the 13th Corinthians (KJV) chapter performed by seven of our students to compete in this month's oral competition.
