The Journey Begins

The most delicate stages of learning (the education journey) begins at birth. The early stages of life are a time for exploration, emotional growth, physical development, and fun. Yes, at this time the most important concept for students is trust. Trust leads to the courage to explore and learn about themselves and their surroundings. St. Andrew Christian Academy  (SACA) takes pride in allowing its students to be children while providing the necessary guidance to empower themselves and their communities. Parents can enroll their child(ren) in their grade level classes or courses.

Preschool-Third Grade

SACA nurtures the natural love of learning with caring teachers and a stimulating curriculum. Our project-based elementary curriculum, which is available to all students in preschool through 3rd grade, integrates classic literary themes into all subject areas.  Through reading, writing, speaking, listening, painting, exploring, and playing our world is opened up to our children.

Fourth -Sixth Grade

As students transition from one level to the next they will experience a sense of familiarity with most of the manipulatives, and be introduced to new ones. This level of education guides students from concrete, fact-based learning into an age of abstraction and deduction. SACA curriculum challenges our students with advance ideas in literature and language, history, science, and mathematics. Students desire to explore and understand how things work, and SACA curriculum promotes their critical thinking skills. This is the stage children develop intellectually, socially, and morally as active participants in their classrooms and their own learning. Hands-on learning, group work, differentiated instruction are implemented to help direct and foster the skills needed to move to the next level.

Seventh-Ninth Grade

Sixth - Eighth grade

During this transitional phase of learning students generally are intrigued and fascinated by hands-on activities and desire more control over decision making. Students shift from being passive consumers of information to becoming active participants in their education. Their learning becomes relevant through a constellation of connections to experts and real, contemporary challenge. SACA believes a technology-rich learning experience at this level engages students' enthusiasm and creativity. SACA focus on the high values of independent learning and the importance of developing students' critical thinking skills. We believe that a child should be able to make rationale decisions toward setting goals for themselves at this grade level.

Ninth - Twelfth Grade

In this stage of learning students should understand the importance of goal setting, decision making, and critical thinking. SACA provides students with a career path of learning experiences to ignite and connect learning with career opportunities. We want to prepare our students with the necessary set of skills, including collaboration, creativity, problem solving and critical thinking to obtain the careers of their choice.
