St. Andrews Christian Academy was begun because there was a drastic need for excellent preK-12 educational facilities for our children.  It is truly a mountainous pursuit to locate a school with Christian ethics, character, and professionalism, at an affordable price for  the majority of our population.  We have  all of that and more!

St. Andrews has Christian Ethics

Many years ago, WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?) was seen everywhere.  However, many were wearing the bracelets and t-shirts simply as a fad.  At St. Andrews WWJD is a way of life and not just a slogan.  Our moral code of conduct is defined by Christian doctrine.  From the way parents are treated who are struggling with tuition, to the way students are treated who do not understand a concept in Language Arts, WWJD will be a guide in all decision making.

 

St. Andrews has Character
Galatians 5:22-23 states, "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control." The fruit of the Spirit is combined to form our character.  We use all of these traits when we have to discuss a child's academic progress or behaviour.  We will be truthful and realistic with you at all times.  What good does it do for a child to graduate and not be able to get a job because she has been pushed through with sugar and spice (deceit and fantasy)?  Here at St. Andrews, we believe that you are pragmatic and resolute enough to hear and deal with the truth.  Only then can you help your child deal with the challenges of life.  John 16:33 states, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."  We will help them overcome.

 

St. Andrews has Professionalism

Professionalism is having standards and living up to those standards, using the skills and competence expected of highly trained personnel.  From our style of dress, to our teaching styles, professionalism dictates our demeanor.  We work from the tried and true prescriptions of educators and researchers, without forgetting our society is ever-changing. Seventy years ago the e-reader was non-existent.  However, the words that fill the e-readers today did exist.

 

The Culmination

These three essential traits are used with each parent and child,to help develop a round, fully informed, imaginative, creative, respectful, and empathetic student. In today's world most of the focus is on how to make the child and parents feel good.  At St. Andrews we want to help the parents and child to be the best active Christians possible.                Won't you come join us?
